2017 KIA Niro Hybrid
After 7400 miles, I enjoy having this 2017 Kia Niro EX. It is due for an oil change, which i will have to schedule. I am impressed with its value for the money. That was why i picked it in the first place. There is Apple Carplay and Android Auto on its 7-inch screen. I have used speaker phone via this system while driving around town with the windows down and the other end on the phone was able to hear me just fine. This was a standard in this EX trim. Blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic warning definitely helped me broadening my vision as a safer driver. Fit and finish is certainly there with no complains. There is a piece of felt on the safty belt lock in each of the front seats to reduce rattling noise. Outside noise level is reasonably low while driving at highway speed with the windows up.
There is a hard brake feel which i think has something to do with regenarative braking for the battery. Somethime it jerks the car a bit, which deters from a smooth stop. Overall i have been enjoyable and helps save gas. Typically, i have seen over 41 mpg. After a full tank of gas, it shows over 55 mpg, and then drops down to 41.
